The third Fellow Travellers record and what a strange record it is. A little bit of this, some of that, a portion of one, a slice of the other. It's got some nice songs on it, three of my favorites, ‘Confusion’, ‘Salt Of A Fallen Tear’, and the original (and still the best) version of ‘Yesterday's A Long Time Ago’. We were ambitious - we spent two weeks recording it, and as they say in Texas, too much is never enough. There's a great rap in the middle of ‘Let's Go Walking’ by Martin's son Ben, and some wonderful production. Something for everyone. On its release, ‘Salt Of A Fallen Tear’ was played for Townes Van Zant by a German newspaper and Townes said: “I like this very much. It's very special. They're doing something independent. The drummer and the keyboard are playing great together and the woman's harmony is perfect. The guy's singing with a voice I never heard before…”.
